Solid Construction with Easy Weight Adjustability
Leg weights are good for building lower body strength and endurance when running or walking. These weights allow working up to heavier exercise by inserting additional metal bars into the pockets on the weight cuffs.Design and Construction:On the exterior, the weight cuffs have a web design which is soft yet feels durable. Two Velcro straps on each cuff are around 1½ inches wide. These straps use a molded‑hook Velcro strap rather than the woven hook tape which usually frays after multiple uses. Each pocket contains two flat, removable weight bars that measure around 5⅞ inches long and 1-inch wide. The interior of the cuff has silicone-like material that provides some padding on the ankle and helps maintain the cuff in place. At the cuffs’ perimeter, the edge binding is a consistent size and texture. Stitching across the cuffs, pockets, and straps is neat and uniform, which enhances the clean, finished appearance. Although the metal rectangular strap rings are thin, they seem to be adequate for normal use without deforming.I weighed some of the metal bars used to adjust the overall weight. The individual bars varied from 6.41 ounces to 7.09 ounces, with most in the range of 6.93 to 7.0 ounces. This weight inconsistency may make a difference for some users but does not reduce their effectiveness.Use:In use, regardless of how high above my heel I strapped the cuffs, the weights did quickly gravitate to the lowest point my ankle. Since these are “ankle weights,” this is normal, but securing the weights at their lowest point on the ankle first is best practice. There isn’t a flap covering the pockets, so I found a firm tug on the Velcro straps when tightening helps to maintain the weights in place, especially if only one bar occupies the pocket. With all pockets filled, the metal bars tended to press against the outer ankle bone and slightly onto the shin during movement. Repositioning the cuffs on the ankle prior to exercising did alleviate some of the pressure on the ankle bones and shins. When working with lighter weight, removing the bars from the middle pockets provided a better fit on my ankles.Summary:With their solid construction and ease of use, these ankle weights are a good addition to exercise gear. The padding on the interior is the best of any ankle weights I’ve tried, and the exterior seems to be durable. I like the Velcro molded-hook strap rather than the woven hook tape since it will probably add to the straps’ longevity and effectiveness. While wearing the weights, strategic placement of the bars in the pockets minimizes pressure on the ankle area. One issue I had with these weights is the lack of a cover for the metal bar pockets. During use, the straps seem to hold the bars in place, but when securing the weight to the ankle or removing them, the bars can slide out. Also, even though the weight of the individual metal bars did not vary too much, there was up to a ½-ounce differential of the bars I weighed.Overall, these ankle weights perform well, have a clean design, and are easily adjustable, making them a good choice for building leg strength and endurance when walking or running.

They work well as long as they start upright.
Ok for the price, but the weights tend to fall off if you tip them too far.

Versatile and much better than sandbags
I’ve been looking for a way to add some resistance to my daily walks and Pilates sessions, and these adjustable weights are exactly what I needed. The best part is that they use removable metal plates instead of sand, so you don’t have to worry about them leaking or feeling lumpy over time. The fabric is soft and breathable, which is a huge upgrade over the silicone versions that usually make me sweat or chafe. They stay securely in place on both my wrists and ankles without sliding around while I move. I love that I can start light and gradually add more weight as I get stronger. They are slim enough to wear under a pair of joggers if I want to get some extra calorie burn while running errands. It is a solid, well-made set for anyone looking to level up their home workouts.

Wrist weights are too big to fasten but can wrap around my thighs for abductor leg exercises.
I want to do strength training again and already have various hand weights, but my finger joints can become inflamed. I thought wrist weights might be easier to work with and ordered these JYNROM Adjustable Wrist Weights for Women Men, 1 Pair. I liked the idea of being able to remove or add back the 7oz. weighted plates, as necessary.I always take plenty of photos when I review a product to show how I formed my honest opinion while using the item, but they don’t always upload in sequential order.Once I weighed the JYNROMS on my kitchen scale, I took several measurements and noticed the thin, nonslip netting. I can imagine the material being prone to tearing easily if I am not careful with it; it’s not very durable. The Velcro straps are plenty long, and the 1 ½” buckles are very securely sewn so they can hold the straps as tightly as possible. I did have to go back to the product page to see the photo how to wrap them around my wrists. Unfortunately, my arms are too thin, and gravity makes the weighted pads slide down my hands. There’s also about 3” of Velcro strap that sticks out because it can’t be fastened down.I then had a thought. The next day, I dug out my blue floor mat. Years ago, I’d lay on it to do leg and glute work. I had to place a folded towel on top of my hip so that I could put a barbell on it for resistance. Since the circumference of my upper thigh is 16”, I figured the JYNROM Velcro straps could wrap around it for some abductor work. It was a perfect solution how I can still use this product. In fact, JYNROM also offers leg weights on their same product page. I can wrap these around my ankles/shins, and my shoes help hold them there as I walk. Unfortunately, my knee joints can’t take the extra weight right now since I just had injections for degenerative arthritis. I’ll probably have to remove most of the weight bars and slowly add them back as my knees get stronger when I walk.I think these JYNROMS are a worthy product that can be of good use for leg exercises, but they might be too big for most women’s arms.
