Best theme park walking shoes!
The best shoes for walking at Walt Disney World. I would usually get a long of pain in my shin’s and back, but with these shoes I had zero pain. They are super light and dried very quickly on a rainy day. They fit to size and are very durable. When walking after the rain, they were very grippe and didn’t slide. They are absolutely worth the price!

Stability and Comfort Right Out of the Box!
I love these shoes! I’ve had glycerins as well, but these fit my foot better. Glycerins are great if you need extra cushion. But I need stability and support for my arthritic hips. Ghosts are very stable and a little more fitted in the heel. They also have structured rubber on the outside of the heel making them easier to slide into without damaging the back. I size up a half size just like I do with glycerins. The toe box is rather narrow making them feel short. By sizing up they fit very comfortably and there is no break in period needed.

What I Liked:• The Cushioning: The updated DNA LOFT v3 foam is noticeably softer than previous versions. It doesn’t feel like you’re “sinking” into the shoe; instead, it provides a controlled, comfortable bounce that feels great on tired legs.• Smoother Transitions: I noticed the drop has been lowered from 12mm to 10mm. This change, combined with the slightly rockered shape, makes the heel-to-toe transition feel much more natural and less “steep” than the Ghost 16.• The Heel Fit: The new heel collar flares away from the Achilles. I often struggle with blisters in new shoes, but this design significantly reduced irritation during my first few runs.• Breathability: The double jacquard mesh upper kept my feet cool even on longer efforts.Things to Consider:• Fit: These fit true to size for me, but the toebox feels slightly more “fitted” than the 16. If you prefer a very wide, boxy front, you might want to try the wide width option.• Weight: They are a tiny bit heavier than the previous model, but honestly, I didn’t notice the difference once I started moving.Bottom Line:If you want a dependable “workhorse” shoe for daily miles or long walks, the Ghost 17 is a fantastic upgrade. It’s stable, supportive, and offers just the right amount of soft protection.

Digs into Ankles, otherwise perfect
Review of: Brooks Women’s Ghost 17 Neutral Running ShoeColor: Grey/Chateau Grey/PortabellaSize 7.5By measurement, I’m a size 7 regular/medium. Most of my exercise shoes are 7.5 regular, as is this one. The width is perfectly comfortable on me. Snug at first, but after 3 weeks of a lot of wear they feel incredible. Length is great, although just barely. The foot bed is soft but firm. Not squishy. I need a decent arch support and these are nice and high and sturdy. The color (see above) is gorgeous and will coordinate with anything. The heel stays put without sliding. The heel also has the new heel style that makes them easy to slide your feet into, and you don’t feel it at all when you point your toe. Great cushioning in the soles. I feel stable and straight with my slight overpronation. I immediately went on vacation when these shoes arrived, so I took a chance. I walked about 10,000 steps a day for 8 days! Including rushing through airports. These shoes felt amazing the entire time. Only took a couple of days to stretch just perfectly to my feet.At first they were digging into my ankles 🙁 It’s towards the front of the inner ankle on both shoes/feet. After an hour in them I had dents in the skin. It’s right at the point where the top shoe lace hole is. It’s a hard piece with no cushion. The Ghost 14 was not like this. However, I took those points and bent them backwards quite aggressively several times in the first day. I also loosened the laces all the way down the shoe, then tied them just a bit looser than I normally would. I wore them around the house for an entire day like this and they felt GREAT. Then I took them on my trip and had no issues. So I was able to completely solve that issue. I’ve seen others complain of the same thing. I have skinny ankles, a bit bony you might say. So it’s not an issue of my size. So although I do think the manufacturer should try to fix the issue, I was able to fix it myself.It’s a great shoe and I highly recommend.

Good for people standing all day
If your on your feet all day at work these help. Nice shoes but a little stiff. Could be a little more flexible. But I do notice a difference in my legs pain by the end of that day since I started wearing these.

Best running/walking shoe!
The Brooks Ghost is the only walking shoe I wear (for nearly 15 years). I tried “pretty” ones, but they couldn’t hold up to the ghost. I walk everyday (sidewalks and payment), and replace the shoes at least every 6 months. Yes, it’s a running shoe, but the support, stability, and comfort gives me the the right fit, Protection, and support I need while walking 2-5 miles, vacationing, shopping, camping or standing in line at Disney! Your feet will thank you!
