A bit of false advertising but good quality, good for the price and does what’s intended
I bought this to replace a meuller knee brace I bought at a sporting goods store that wasn’t working for me anymore. I’m only 25 but I’ve had knee pain and buckling since I got hit by a car in the crosswalk last year after they ran a red and weren’t paying attention. I was really worried about wasting my money because I’m kind of having to be frugal right now, so I did do some digging into the claims around this brace before I bought it. I can tell you that the doctor holding the brace in the picture has nothing to do with this product, and the bit about it being ‘worn by professional athletes around the world’ is false. It was hard because there is literally no trace of this knee brace or the brand that makes it anywhere else online except for this Amazon page. But I can tell you it was designed in Isreal in September of last year and the designer filed for a patent on it in April of this year which is still pending. So it is not designed in America and made in Germany like it says here either. The box says made in China also. But false advertising gimmicks aside, I bought it anyway based on the good reviews. I’m 5’7″ and around 155lbs and bought a medium. My measurements are 14″ to 16″ and it fit perfect. It is a very good quality brace, it seems sturdy and does what it’s supposed to do which is make my knee feel more stable and help with the pain. It is a little shorter than the meuller brace, about 2″ difference, but it is a better brace than that one. It does leave red marks on the skin, especially where the knee hole is, and made my skin itchy after wearing it for a while. I put on a copper fit sleeve under it which fixed the itching and after wearing it for a while I’ll see if it helps the marks too. It is a bit bulky so don’t expect it to be invisible under pants like the woman wearing skinny jeans in the product video. But over all, despite some false claims to hype the product, it is good quality and good for the price (it was $19.99 with a $2 coupon making it $17.99 when I bought it, I see it is now $24.99) and it does its job very well. I do recommend. I have noticed after wearing it for a few days I’m having to pull the straps a little tighter than before, maybe my knee was swollen and I didn’t realize and this fixed it or maybe it’s stretching, I don’t know. If it is stretching I will probably update that later. But right now I can tell you it’s a good brace and worth it.

I can enjoy my morning walks again
I have walked at least 2 miles a day for over 35 years. The places in which I live have been hilly or even mountainous, which means my walks are rarely on flat surfaces. I also enjoy hiking. About a month ago, I began to experience inexplicable and sudden pain in my right knee when walking up hill. This was a rather unfortunate turn of events and prevented me from engaging in my favorite daily routine.I consulted my orthopedic PA, and she recommended a knee brace. After researching several options, I selected the DR. Brace Elite based on several factors. 1. The price was within my budget. 2. It was adjustable and could be worn over pants (which slip-on versions did not afford). 3. It came in several colors.Once I received the brace, it was very easy to figure out how to wear it. Plus, it was very comfortable! My first walk with the brace allowed me to walk the hills in my town. I have taken a few walks since, and the reduction in pain is still significant enough that I can manage 2-3 miles.It is stabilizing and adjustable, providing just the right amount of compression. It is soft and flexible. It is easy to put on and take off.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:PriceI decided to give this brace a try primarily for the price because the braces I’ve been using cost 3x as much. All of my braces have been XL and I figured this would be the same. I was wrong. I needed the XXL. I didn’t notice the sizing instructions until the brace had already been delivered and I had tried the XL on. Once I drilled down to finally find the actual return option, the process was amazingly simple and quick. I received the XXL late yesterday so I haven’t worn it very long. At first blush it feels quite comfortable and the support of my knee feels pretty solid. I am the volunteer photographer for the municipality where I live and our first concert in the park is tonight so I’ll see how the brace works on uneven ground. I’ll update this review after tonight.Edit ——————————–After about 10 minutes of walking on uneven ground trying to take photos I was glad I had brought my admittedly high dollar brace with me. This one just wasn’t working for me. But I’m probably different from most of the people who would need this brace..I’m Type 1 diabetic (juvenile onset) since about 1978. For a very long time my blood sugar was very erratic. I could be 300 and 20 minutes later I would be 30. In 2009 I blacked out and broke my tib/fib just above my right ankle. After 2 years and 4 surgeries I healed up. 1 year later the same thing happened and I broke my tib/fib just below my right knee.My lower leg healed at about a 15° ankle towards the outside of my knee. So my knee has been out of alignment ever since.While this brace, at least for me, is great around the house and on sidewalks and pavement and level ground, it doesn’t provide adequate lateral support on uneven terrain.My final thoughts:In its proper element it’s a great little brace at a great price. And I’m sure it will help you with recovery of your knee injury and/or surgery. I’ll continue to use this Dr. Brace product while my big brace is drying. Again it’s a great brace in the situation it’s designed for. However, I don’t think the severity of my injuries and how out of alignment my right knee healed, makes this not the ideal brace for me for constant use.I hate having to post this because Dr. Brace is a top notch seller! I ordered the wrong size and the return could not have been any less trouble.

I bought this brace for my mom, and she has been using it for a few months now. It provides great support and really helps her feel more comfortable when walking. The quality is good and it feels sturdy and well made. She is very happy with it. Definitely a great purchase!
