The Relentlessly Resilient Headwear: A Tale of Two Caps
Two hats, two continents, countless jogs, and back-to-back washes since April 2021, my Ergodyne High Visibility, Reflective Hat Cap in vibrant lime, still stands tall, or well… sits nicely on my head. I have compelling before-and-after images of my ever-faithful hats showcasing their journey from pristine condition to a well-loved state of honorary retirement.Their legends can be felt in the fading colors, slight tatters that speak of untold stories endured over time and space. Nonetheless, their performance has remained unwavering, like a Beethoven symphony.They have granted me visibility among the masses, reflective glory during twilight jogs and an unspoken transition into a kind of headgear connoisseur, something I wasn’t planning on becoming when I first clicked on “add to cart”.Alas, there’s one sting in this citrus tale. The current list price seems to have taken an upward hike, much like my heart rate when I first saw it. Whilst this makes my wallet lightly weep, I acknowledge a star-worthy product that has served me way beyond its call of duty. That’s more than can be said for most things in life!In conclusion, is it worth it? Absolutely. Would I buy again? In a heartbeat. Now, if you’ll excuse me, my hat and I have more continents to conquer.

This is a good quality reflective cap, suitable for walking in areas that may have low light, such as early morning walking. Durable, and comfortable to wear.

The hats are great. Light weight, with Velcro adjustable straps in back. We also tested the reflectiveness of them at night. Very bright and highly visible from a long way off. I also bought the Skullerz inserts, to add more of a rounded shape to the cap. They work perfectly together.

I ride a recumbent trike every morning for exercise around the streets of a small town. This is just one more item I use to help make me more visible. It is a great hat, too, it helps to block the low morning sun rays when I round a bend. It adjust easily and is big enough to allow air flow – much better than the “little” hats that sit right on top of your head – yet is not sitting way up. Excellent quality and breathe-ability, it handles my sweaty work outs very well! The adjustment and lining on the head band always keep it on my head, even with a head wind. My wife says it is the first thing she sees when I make the turn three blocks away.

The front and side meshed parts are breathable, but the back half is not. There is plastic like lining under the back half of the cap. I ran about half hour at 40°F wearing the cap, sweat accumulated in the underside lining of the cap and formed many water droplets, though I didn’t feel hot. I think it is fine for wearing the cap in cold winter, but not when it is warmer.The cap does fit, and the reflective strips and log (the gray parts in the picture) work very well. And the label says that it is washable up to 25 cycles. The material is not soft.
