The probiotic for optimal gut health
Dr. Gundry’s Women’s Total Probiotic combines a potent probiotic with prebiotic fiber and adds a small amount of inositol to support hormone health. Taking one capsule first thing in the morning prior to taking my vitamins is an excellent way to start the morning and ensure my gut is going to be ready to handle all the food I consume throughout the day. The probiotic blend contains a wide variety of microbial cultures to balance the gut microbiome as well as vaginal pH. Fermented berry powder is also part of the formula to provide antioxidant support for the entire body.Dr. Gundry has been a respected medical doctor in the field of cardiovascular health and nutrition for decades. His products are backed by scientific research and worth trying. I have not experienced any stomach irritation or GI upset since starting this Women’s Total Probiotic, just the opposite in fact. My gut microbiome feels like it’s back on track and working efficiently.

So far, so good!
If you get frequent UTIs then this might be a good option for you – it’s supposed to help balance your vaginal microbiome, among other benefits. I got it for an elderly family member who struggles with UTIs and is caught in a constant cycle of having to take antibiotics. At this point almost nothing works for her so hopefully this will. It’s easy to take – one per day and there are 30 in the bottle. All of Gundry’s products are pricey but I’m of the belief that, especially if something is going into your body, you want to make sure it’s high quality and safe. So far she is tolerating this well but it will take at least a few months to see if it really makes a difference. Fingers crossed! Give it a try and let me know what you think! 🙂

Supports vaginal microbiota balance in perimenopause
I’ve been on a comprehensive regular probiotic for a long time but recently started getting some discomfort and dryness in the private area (thanks, perimenopause), so decided to try a probiotic, specifically focused on vaginal health. This one still supports a healthy gut microbiota but it also extends the benefits to the vaginal microbiota. With age and diet, I knew that I needed more prebiotics as well and this formula has those baked in, so I don’t have to think about whether I’m taking in enough from my diet. This probiotic has definitely had a positive effect on my vaginal microbiota in terms of greater balance, stronger tissue, and less irritation. The pills are easy to swallow, have no taste, and dissolve easily. I’m planning on sticking with this.

Great ingredients but lacking b coagulans
I’ve been taking probiotics for decades and am always trying to improve on the combinations I take . Being female , and having an unspecified immune condition with recurrent uti , I have Tried a lot of things . Probiotics are essential for me in that way. And also because I have ibs and other stomach issues.There are a lot of great things in this . Some I’ve never even seen in a probiotic , like the fermented berries. I love That addition. No side effects to note .The bottle is small. The capsules are small, smooth, and easy to swallow . There’s no real smell or taste . Don’t need refrigeration either . So these are really easy to take .I do Feel these have been effective when it comes to supporting my gut health. The quality is good , but the quantity is lacking. This is quite a lot to spend every month , and if it was indeed ‘total’ and complete , I might Feel different about that. But the one main thing I dislike Is that there is no b. Coagulans . I have Read quite a lot of research about women’s health because of my situation, and b.coagulans is the one I have Found has studies backing it . I also have found it to be the one I must Have in my Arsenal . It’s what is effective for me . I should have looked closer , but when I saw It is called total (and at the cost) , I assumed (which I shouldn’t do) that it meant it would contain everything one would need in that area . But it is not total, complete and comprehensive for me, meaning I still Need the addition of an another supplement for it to be total for me.Everyone is different. Maybe it is total for someone else . It is good quality and effective for gut health . I’m sure there is some benefit to women’s health in general, just not all areas. I don’t feel it’s the best value for that reason. If I’m going to get something in this range , I want It to be more comprehensive .

No aftertaste, increased bloating or gas!
I wanted to give this a solid two weeks before writing a review. I am very impressed with how well they work! Since taking it, I have become much more regular – something that has been a struggle for me my whole life. Yes, the capsules are kind of large, but comparable in size to other probiotics I’ve taken. These have not caused any bad gas or bloating for me. They also don’t have a horrible aftertaste, nor am I burping them up hours later. I plan to keep ordering them!

Konjac root for benefits
Seeing that this product contains konjac root motivated me to try this. Based on articles I have read, this fibrous plant is used to aid in weight loss, digestion, blood sugar levels and most importantly, cholesterol which I currently am on prescription for.I seek supplements that can fall into the holistic category. My parents prescribed to the lifestyle. I never understood or appreciated this until now. I would say this women’s probiotic would garner their approval.Another factor that drew me to this product was that it is by Dr. Gundry. I often see his ads on television or social media. And they’re one of the few I pay attention to. I think this adds to the supplement’s credibility, yes?I like that you only need a single tablet daily with or without food. My diet is fairly healthy but again, it’s my cholesterol I need to focus on. It will be interesting to see my lab result in a few months after being on this.
