Perfect lightweight hoodie
First to get my biggest review pet peeve out of the way, my height, weight, and the size I buy, please try to add this info to your reviews It’s so helpful. I’m 5’5, weigh between 215 to 225, I am muscularly built so I wear a size 14-16 or L pant and a L to XXL in tops. I get these zip ups mostly in XXL but I also get the XL which I like when I want a little bit more of a fitted look. They aren’t to short, long, or tight for my height/build, blessed up top & bottom 😉 w/a bubbly booty and the XXL hits a couple inches above mid booty. I also get an XL which is about same length, obv a bit more form fitting in the right places, especially the waist but it doesn’t flare all weird at the bottom and the arms aren’t too tight. But I wouldn’t be able to comfortably zip an XL all the way up over the girls without uni-boob haha or just weird looking, but I prefer to wear both sizes zipped about 2 inches above my belly button anyways.I’ve been purchasing these hoodies for probably 10 years so obv I absolutely love them & they really helped bring my confidence back up after my body changed which then helped me to start trying other types of sweaters and tops and different outfits that I never would’ve thought to wear and how to style pieces differently to accentuate my gifts, that keep on giving 😉They’re the perfect thickness, especially for women going through hot flashes 🥵 🪭 or if you’re naturally hot blooded rarrr lolThey hold up well, regular wash/dry, they don’t pill, no zipper issues, they run true to size, perfect amount of stretch, comfortable med soft/thick cotton material.I like that I can wear these for a very casual lounge or work out look obv, & with a cami or v neck t-shirt under for a little flirt, w/leggings, shorts, flip flops etc or pair it with some cute jeans, a lace trim cami, casual jewelry, and a pair of low boots or even wedge sandals for a great “I made an effort” look lolAnd huge plus, they’re often on sale and you can’t beat a casual zip up for under $20 & even as low as $8 on sale. I know this is a long post, but these are all questions that I often have about tops especially zip ups & sweaters. I’m also a bit obsessed with these sweatshirts bcuz they gave me a huge boost of confidence, and helped me learn to embrace and style my fuller figure, when I really needed that.So needless to say, I absolutely love these & Hanes should hire me to be a spokesperson 😆 I hope my post helped answer some questions for people. Lightweight, Comfy, and Great for Everyday Wear
I picked up this Hanes slub‑knit hoodie as a light layer, and it’s been really handy. The fabric is soft and breathable, perfect for tossing on over a tank or tee without feeling bulky. The fit is relaxed and flattering, and I like the textured look — it feels a little nicer than a basic hoodie. My only small complaint is that it’s definitely on the thinner side, so it’s more for mild weather than real warmth. Still, it’s super comfortable and easy to wear, and I’ve been reaching for it a lot.

Shrinks a bit in wash and is not as soft or as light weight as I would like it but it’s close and probably the best in terms of quality I’m gonna find anywhere close to this price point. Will be soaking in vinegar in hopes they will soften up.I first bought in large, because I listened to the reviews and found the large to absolutely swallow me – that was prior to washing! I’m glad I exchanged for a medium and I’m also glad to medium shrunk a bit in the wash as it was bigger than I wanted upon arrival, but my instincts told me to stick with it and not exchange for small. (Am 5’6”; 130ish lbs; usually on the line between small and medium because of very long torso, wide shoulders & long arms. The post wash size M fits and covers well enough; it skims my body without clinging, leaves room to wear something long sleeved under it – good quality cotton can be stretched without stressing too much it to cover my hands, which I like.)The reason I give this three stars instead of four is because the printed label inside is so dark that it shows through clearly both the white and the briny pink color (black not at all) – If they can read backwards, anyone behind me will know who’s brand of clothing I am wearing by looking at me. (and yes, I will have the clothing on with the label, facing towards my body – outside in *not inside out* hence it will read backwards to the person behind me.) I don’t like advertising for other people. If a brand of clothing wants me to do their advertising for them, they can put me on their payroll starting at $18,000 per hour I wear their logo emblazoned clothing. This is just my personal take on the situation.Also, I like the briney pink color and as others have said, it is more coral than it looks in a couple of the photos – although there is one photo that seems to be color accurate right now – it’s the one where the model has the hood up and is looking sideways towards you.I’ve got super short hair and dislike the feeling of air conditioning blowing on my head & back of neck. Hence, I have a need for lightweight hoodies to make it comfortably through the summer indoors. These will do nicely for that – and perhaps in time will soften enough that I want to wear them even when I don’t need too for sensory reasons.

This is just what I’ve been looking for, it’s a lightweight hoodie (t-shirt fabric). If you are looking for a cozy fleece hoodie, keep looking. It is well made & the fabric is nice. I prefer wearing long sleeves in the summer instead of using sunscreen and this will be the perfect light cover up. In the meantime, I’ve been using it as a light layer over my scrubs at work. I ordered XL because I wanted it to be a little loose (I’m 5’4″ and 175lbs), it fits just right. I will be ordering more colours!
