Best water shoe on the market 10 STARS.
I water walk 90 minutes every day in a heated sport pool. I have purchased many types of water shoes and this is by far the BEST water shoe on the market. I needed a shoe with more support and comfort and this shoe is it. It is extremely comfortable in the water and NO blisters and I DON’T wear socks . My feet are so happy. I wear a size 8 in a pickleball sneaker but in this water shoe I purchased a size 7 and it fits perfectly. I love the shoes so much I ordered a second pair the minute I got home from wearing them the first time. The laces are the perfect length. I tighten them up then push down on a lock button then tie the extra shoelace just as I do with all my sneakers. Some reviews say they are slippery but before I wore them I twisted my foot back and forth a couple times on cement and I have no issues with slipping but I always walk very carefully with my wet shoes in the wet locker room. They dry faster than all my other water shoes. And they are super cute.

Great fit and Comfort
Great cushion for the feet while doing water aerobics. This was the best water shoe since it has great insoles and a great deal of support. I will order it again when I need a new pair.

Best water aerobic shoes for drainage and arch support
The arch support is great and the width perfect. I can wear these shoes comfortably because the size 12 fit both feet. I normally wear size 11 but that size only fit my left foot, so getting the larger size was very critical. I think these shoes run smaller than expected, so I would recommend getting a size larger than you normally wear for a good fit. These shoes were the only water shoes that I could find for aqua aerobics that had drainage holes in the sole of the shoe and arch support. This was important for me because I already have a balance issue following bilateral total knee replacement surgery and when my shoes fill with water in the pool, I cannot stand upright and exercise as needed. These shoes enable me to walk and exercise in the pool and are a very comfortable fit. The price was good and the the shoes arrived promptly, ready to wear.Review Update, Jan 2016: After owning these shoes for 8 months and regularly using them in the pool several times weekly, the sole has separated from the toe of the right shoe and it seems to separate more each use. While the fit and price were good. I am really disappointed in the quality. I paid $10 for generic water shoes with the exact same features as Ryka water shoes, 12 years ago and they only fell apart a year ago after I started using them in the gym during physical therapy. Unfortunately, I cannot find the less expensive brand and the store that sold them to me does not carry it anymore. I expected to get more than 8 months from the Ryka Shoes, so I am very disappointed.

Solid water workout shoe.
True to size. Love the shoe, very comfortable & solid wearing them for water aerobics. My only complaint is with the shoe laces, even double knotted, they don’t stay tied for my entire 3 hr workout.

Great item
These are the best water shoes I have tried. I do water aerobics five times a week and these shoes. Keep my feet in good shape. They’re comfortable, they dry quickly. I’m very happy with them. They fit nicely.

Runs large
This is a great shoe, I plan to wear them in the summer outside during the summer. The vents will keep my foot dry. It does run large. My normal size is 9-5 or 10. Amazon suggested i buy a 9.5 and they are too big.

Pretty decent for water aerobics…too buoyant though
The shoes were wet when I took the picture. I do water aerobics/HIIT, aqua zumba, and stretching/stability 5 days a week and I’m typically in the pool for 1-2 hours each day. Someone in class recommended Ryka because they had their shoes for a couple of years and they were still in good shape; she typically does deep water classes. I do shallow water classes so I put a decently significant side load on my shoes as well as dragging the toe on the floor of the pool when I stretch so I tend to go through shoes pretty quickly. I had a cheaper pair that lasted me about 6 months but the shoes had really only lasted about a week before I noticed damage. I have been using this Ryka pair for about 6 weeks and I do like them; they are supportive and the craftsmanship seems pretty good. I really like that it has normal laces and a cinch tab instead of the bungee laces because they bungee doesn’t last long in the chlorine (I also tend to snap it on my fingers trying to get them tight enough after they start to loosen) the normal laces don’t stretch so they stay put throughout class. The one thing I don’t like about them is that they are very buoyant. I don’t like the assist, especially when trying to work on core exercises. I can tell throughout class that my feet feel “lighter” so I would prefer if they didn’t float so well but the training shoe design of the sole is helpful for my knees. The fabric (not the support) in the heel felt looser after the first week but it hasn’t changed since. The pool I swim in is way over chlorinated (it eats my suits in about 75 hrs in the pool and bleached made my hair so badly that where I wore a bobby pin my hair broke (not my entire head just the bottom baby hairs that get wet in class but getting my hair wet with two water first, and not wearing a bobby pin, has helped with bleaching)) so the fact it’s not disintegrated by now is good. The one thing I’m confused with is those little plastic pieces o took a picture of. My right shoe, since the first time I wore it, keeps getting these little white plastic pieces in it. I have looked in these shoes and removed any plastic piece I see but I’ve done this three or four times and I keep getting them. My left shoe is fine. I can’t figure out anything in the shoe or pool that would generate brittle plastic pieces but they are not comfortable to step on (they come up through the holes in the insert). Yesterday I made sure no plastic pieces were in my shoes but today after class I removed all of those pieces from my shoe. Just curious if anyone else has had that experience.TL;DR I would recommend them but they are a bit overpriced in my opinion. I wish they were $50-55 but I had to get a half size so they were $70. At that price Merrell isn’t much more expensive (I haven’t tried their water shoe yet but I probably will for my next pair)
