Excellent Yoga Mat Carrier with a Little Brain Power
Like other Manduka products, they make amazing high-quality products… with limited good instructions on how to best utilize it.If you use this commuter yoga strap like it shows in the product pictures, you’ll be okay-ish. Your mat won’t slip while you’re carrying it and the added cushioning on the middle portion is nice on the shoulders. But if you’re like me, you’ll probably be annoyed that leaving the mat flat in its carrier in the car or for several days will slowly loosen and unfurl (very annoying).Well! There’s actually a better way to use it that prevents this! After playing with the straps a bit, I realized you can double loop it to prevent this problem. If you look at the photo I uploaded, that’s my mat in the car in its carrier (the one on the left is my extra yoga mat in a velco carrier). Notice how it’s tight enough that the strap is biting into the mat itself. This is the ideal way to use this carrier.Now, how do you do this? Ok, so you might have to play with it a little to figure it out, but the first loop is for the buckle to bite onto itself, not for the mat to go through. If you feed the other end of the strap through that first loop, you create a second loop for the mat to go into. Tightening this causes the first loop to bite onto the strap holding it tight while you adjust the second loop down to secure your mat. Viola!You can play with how you feed the strap through to create this biting action, but it seems to work a lot better after I figured this out. Hope this helps!

My boyfriend and I each got one of these slings for our hot yoga classes, and we’ve been using them nonstop for a few weeks now. It’s such a simple product, but it makes a huge difference in our routine.What We Love:• Super easy to use — Just loop it over your mat and go. No fumbling or wrestling post-class.• Lightweight but strong — The material feels durable and secure, even when the mat is soaked from hot yoga.• Looks clean and minimal — We both got black, and it matches our gear perfectly without looking bulky or cheap.One Thing to Note:• Not a downside, but if you use an extra thick mat (like over 1/2”), it might feel a bit snug. Ours are standard size and fit great.This sling has honestly saved us time and hassle after class. No more rolling and stuffing mats into tight bags while sweaty and tired. We just loop it up, throw it over the shoulder, and we’re out. It’s such a simple upgrade, but now I can’t imagine going without it.

Simple but very effective
This holds my yoga mat well. It’s very sturdy, thickness is great so it will never break, and long enough to wear around the body. It’s comfortable because of the thickness of the strap and can be used on any mat size so it’s very versatile. Great for the price and I would buy it again.

It works with Manuka mat
After I received this I looked at negative reviews and was astounded. It is a simple, functional, well-made strap that serves its basic purpose. It self tightens enough to carry on the shoulder, it cinches just fine to hold a Manuka mat vertically. Manuka recommends rolling the mat with the bottom out so it lays flat when unrolled, that side is textured and clings to the strap. I don’t know if others are not following directions or what, but this product works just fine.

Simple and elegant
This is a very simple yoga strap, with delightfully sturdy webbing all across the middle. The entire strap is stiff strong cotton, with square bronzed metal loops it feeds through on each.The webbing and strength of construction was a pleasant surprise. It fits my bulky Manduka Pro well and feels like it’ll fit smaller mats as well.
