It doesn’t “feel” like a desk job
I use this stepper while working. I work from home and needed something to keep me moving while stationary. It’s small enough to slide under my desk when done and quiet enough to continue stepping while taking a phone call. You definitely feel the workout a few steps in and I’m loving the results of how I feel throughout the day. With the step counter, I can reset it everyday and log my steps with my phone to track them. So far no issues and I’ve been using it about a month. There’s nothing to the setup really, just attach the resistance bands if you want and get moving!

Get it YESTERDAY, if you can!
The resistance is pretty good, which was my #1 concern. You can’t adjust resistance, but you can turn the dial to adjust how high you want the stair steps to be. If you’re not too much over 100 or 110lbs, you REALLY have to work to make the pedals move at all. The little twist motion of the pedals activates more muscles than regular vertical motion alone, so I like this better than most steppers. Putting your weight on your heels and standing towards the back also helps get different muscles.BEWARE, however: at least on mine, the stair count reader only counts every OTHER step, which can be discouraging and confusing if you don’t catch it. That’s the only reason I took off 1 star. The thing is stable and pretty heavy, while still being easy to move around and store under the sofa when not in use. I like to absentmindedly be stair climbing while I watch tv and mess around on my phone. This is perfect for that! I forget I’m even standing up, let alone climbing hundreds of flights of stairs. Something about it is kind of hypnotic. Then I come to, covered in sweat, thirsty as heck, somehow finished my entire book, and it’s dark out. The time is gonna pass anyway, right? I call this a BIG WIN.I love that I don’t have to pay any attention while using it, unlike a treadmill or rower (for safety reasons, etc). It’s also 100x quieter than my rower or treadmill, thank goodness! You can utilize other isometric techniques like stomach vacuuming at the same time to make it a more full body workout. For the price and convenience, you seriously can’t beat it. You don’t have to be “in the mood to workout.” You simply do whatever you were going to do anyway, just standing on this instead. Easy, but surprisingly effective! I wish I’d gotten this years ago!

Glad I got it
What you WANT to hear:- It feels like you’re walking stairs!- Easy set up, twist a knob to loosen or increase tension- It’s not like the “Stair Climber Plus” (anyone remember that from the 90’s?) in that you hear air whooshing from one side to the other. This is completely silent.- It’s solid and sturdy, you can easily maintain balance and don’t feel like you’re going to tip over.- I’m still not sure what the “twisting” motion is but it has a natural walking up stairs feel.- Good range of motion and can add resistance if you want to feel more burn in thighs.- The bands clip on with a “locking” screw so it doesn’t come flying back at you. What you NEED to hear:- If you’re looking for “running” upstairs, this isn’t it. It’s a slow steady climb even on the least resistance.- It is portable but not “easily.” There isn’t a locking position for the peddles and no comfortable handle to grab hold of.- The step counter works but it’s very basic. I just go off what my Apple Watch says for steps.Overall, very glad I purchased this and despite my 15 year old mocking me for getting it, he’s on it all the time.

How you use this lil guy can have a big impact on its effectiveness
As someone who bikes a lot of hills and can climb a lot of stairs without issue, it wasn’t surprising that had to use the stepper for a LONG time to feel any kind of impact…especially because the resistance goes down as the fluid in the machine warms up. Of course, if you just move from side to side while standing and let your weight do the work, it’s not going to really work your muscles much at all. However! I have since found that if I crouch (like half squat into a chair pose) and step from that position it is MUCH more effective at getting my legs and glutes fired up and burning more quickly! So now I alternate standing-stepping with squatting-stepping (also alternating different arm holds with the bands to rotate through working my biceps, triceps, delts etc.) for a pretty effective workout in 15-20 minutes. 🙂 It is a little clicky but not nearly loud enough to be disruptive, and it is very easy to move around if a bit awkward to carry. Love this thing!

Smooth, Silent, and Built to Last!
I was searching for a stepper that wouldn’t squeak or wobble—and this one delivers! It operates silently, making it easy to use while watching TV. The resistance is strong enough to challenge my legs, and I can already feel the difference after a couple of weeks. Plus, it feels solid and well-made, which gives me confidence it’ll last a long time. Highly recommend it for anyone serious about their fitness routine!

Mini stepper
I’ve put a lot of miles on this thing. My kids have also picked it up and thrown it around. It’s still holding up. I haven’t noticed any squeeking, loosening of bolts, weakening resistance, etc. A good little stepper for the price. A good way to stay active while being idle, watching tv or working at a desk.

Not quiet. Makes loud clicking noise every step
Definitely not quiet as advertised. It makes a loud clicking sound every single step, no matter how long I am on it for. I tried tightening and loosening the resistance and no change. I tried it on a rug too and same thing. It functions well and I love how compact and easy to use it is, but I just cannot get past the annoying sound.

Does start squeaking after a while and counter only counts every other step. Also it is quite hard to push down although I’m fine with that. Just give a little oil and squeaking stops for a while then you will have to oil again. Good sturdy little stepper!!
